Transportation: Ready to Hit the Road

Our Transportation Department employees will be up early tomorrow morning. They'll be in the lot long before the sun comes up to do all their pre-route safety checks before heading out to begin their first routes of the school year. 

Their preparation already began, however. Yesterday, Transportation staff attended an excellent safety training session with Indiana Department of Education Safety Specialist Renee Dawson. Her instruction, guidance, and experience will serve to enhance the work our Transportation team does each day.

That's because the job isn't just about completing the routes on time. It's about safety first.

Tomorrow morning, when your child's bus rounds the corner and approaches the stop, know that the person behind the wheel is trained and ready to do what's best to make sure your child's day begins and ends the best — and safest — way possible.
