A Message to Avon & Washington Township Voters

A Message to Avon & Washington Township Voters

In 2018, Avon and Washington Township voters approved an Operating Referendum that has allowed Avon Community School Corporation to accomplish three objectives:

  • decrease class sizes to create better learning environments,
  • improve teacher pay to recruit and retain excellent educators, and
  • increase the number and quality of supports for our students.

Without exception, every dollar provided by the Referendum has been used for these purposes. The results are impressive.

On November 4, Avon and Washington Township voters will have a chance to participate in a special election to renew the Operating Referendum. You can register to vote or check your registration status online in just a few minutes. Please mark November 4 on your calendars. In the meantime, I invite you to take a few minutes to learn about the impact of the 2018 Referendum.

We can provide factual information to help each voter in our community make an informed choice, and we have set out to do that on our Referendum Renewal webpage.

I'm proud to be Superintendent of Avon Schools and a resident of our incredible community.

Sincerely,
